How my business started.
I've been working with leather for quite a while before this beautiful Etsy thing happened to me. To be awkwardly precise 28 years from my first attempt to create something with a piece of scrap leather to the point I have opened my Etsy store. (No, I'm not that old, it just was an early start:))
Those precious pieces of leather were left by my great grandfather called Ivan who was a shoe and saddle maker in rural Siberian town where I grew up.
Many days have passed, many things got changed...
One day I've decided to combine centuries of leathercraft and a bit of my humble experience with something contemporary cool.
The cool part was my wife's remarkable talent in graphic design. I shared my ideas with her and she helped me with creating images for leather stamps I'm using. Actually she is still helping me a lot not only with graphics, but with managing orders and production as well.
Our production process is very simple but laborious - cutting, stamping, dyeing, burnishing - all by hand. We are using only the best American vegetable tan leather available, providing beautiful end product which not only lasts for a long time but attracts a lot of attention with its simple, stylish look.
